Position Summary:
Responsible for collection of up front, or at discharge, deposits
due from patients. Offers alternative financial arrangements to the
patient in the event he/she is unable to meet deposit requirement.
Insures that accurate financial information is collected and that
patients are aware of the hospitals financial policy and
procedures. Posts payments, does deposit bag if working in ER and
cash related functions. Completes insurance verifications.
Works with health insurance providers to determine coverage and
benefit limits. Advises patients of procedure costs and alternative
sources of funding. May arrange for referrals or second opinions.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision;
typically reports to a supervisor or manager. A certain degree of
creativity and latitude is expected. Familiar with standard
concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
Required Licensure/Certification/Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
This position is subject to the COVID-19 Vaccination Policy for
