Job Description:
Job DescriptionWe are looking for a competent Manufacturing
Engineer with extensive CNC programming experience, Swiss screw
machine programming experience, tooling design, tooling selection
process control techniques. Experience with weapon and/or
ammunition production is highly desired. Manufacturing Engineer Job
Responsibilities: Produces machined parts by programming, setting
up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine;
maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records;
maintaining equipment and supplies.Develops manufacturing processes
by studying product requirements,researching, designing, modifying
and testing manufacturing methods. Works with suppliers and
subcontractors.Works with subcontractors on development of new
production machinery.Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing
and planning product workflow and equipment layout.Provides
manufacturing decision making information by calculation of
production labor and material costs.Develop production
schedules.Prepares products and process reports by collecting,
analyzing and summarizing information trends.Plans stock inventory,
checking stock to determine amount available;anticipating needed
stock; placing/expediting orders for stock; verifying receipt of
stock.Programs mills and lathes by entering instructions, including
zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets,
compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements,
including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part
programs.Sets-up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting
three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings,
cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices; tramming
heads.Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance
requirements;following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting
malfunctions; calling for repairs.Skills and Qualifications Proven
experience as CNC programmerTeamwork and leadership
abilitiesPrevious experience as a manufacturing engineer or similar
roleKnowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods and
tool designFamiliarity with quality assurance techniquesCommitment
to health, safety and environmental regulationsDegree in
