Job Description:

The L3Harris Microelectronics organization is expanding our in-house semiconductor research and development efforts and capabilities. This role will allow you to lead the Silicon Interposer Die Design team in creating new state of the art Semiconductor Fabrication designs. Your primary responsibilities will require a deep understanding of modern semiconductor die design tools, rules, and processes, along with an intimate knowledge of CAD SW tool selection, operation, process flow control and analysis, identify potential design bottlenecks, and recommend efficiency improvement plans. The role will place you within a multidisciplinary team of Scientists, Engineers, Specialists, and Technicians focused on creating "one of a kind" novel devices and processes for our customers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating Design of Experiments (DOE), tracking process flow with Statistical Process Controls (SPC), reporting on Failure Review Boards (FRB) and recommending Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA) along with leading and mentoring an experienced Silicon Die Design team. This opportunity is at the core of a new technology area and is looking for innovative researchers and operators to develop, grow, and transition from lab development to a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Essential Functions:

• Senior Professional with strong knowledge in Semiconductor Silicon Interposer design, electrical parameter modeling, and analysis.
• Proven experience with updating, operating, and designing with new semiconductor design CAD tools and processes.
• Manages complex semiconductor designs, works across multiple industry standard/non-standard die design CAD tools, develops processes, performs failure analysis investigations, RCCAs, and leads a team of senior die designers.
• Create design process control documentation and mentor/lead other personnel on design rules and processes.
• Ability to document, communicate, and present technical topics/recommendations/issues/concerns to internal and external customers.
• Work with general oversight and lead technical team of up to 6 additional engineers and designers. Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Scientist, Physics, Chemistry, or Applied Mathematics and 12+ years of relevant experience or a Graduate Degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Scientist, Physics, Chemistry or Applied Mathematics and 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • 15+ years of Electrical substrate design with CAD tools.
  • Ability to attain US government Security Clearance (SECRET/TS/SCI) Preferred Additional Skills:
    • Existing TS/SCI Clearance
    • 20+ years of Electrical substrate design with various CAD tools.
    • Designs are created using Cadence APD (Advance Package designer 17.4), Cadence Virtuoso and Cadence SCM.
    • Must have experience with the Cadence constraint manager
    • Candidate will be responsible for maintaining the schematic and design database
    • Candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining symbols and footprints
    • Must be able to adapt to an evolving process and work closely with teammates providing up to date changes.
    • Position will require individual to interface with Cadence AE's providing feedback on tool development and process flow.
    • Knowledge of Silicon design technology
    • Knowledge of CAD tools
