Description: Job Title: Sr Manager, Manufacturing Engineering, Space Operations Job Code: SAS20230205-100305 Job Location: Palm Bay, FL Job Description L3Harris is seeking a Sr. Manager, Manufacturing Engineering to lead manufacturing for mission critical space electronics. This role will oversee production development and test of multiple hardware value streams: Circuit Card Assembly, Microelectronics Assembly, Standard Electronics Modules and Final Assembly and Test. This role will manage Manufacturing Engineering, Production and Planning departments for Space Electronics and will have strategic leadership and influence on the future of critical national defense and classified space programs. --- Lead a team of manufacturing engineers, planners and technicians in an electronics integration and test environment ensuring strong technical execution of build operations. --- Create and execute upon a manufacturing strategy to advance space electronics processes and product designs. --- Create and maintain a talent pipeline through employee engagement, development, and performance management to grow organizational talent and capabilities. --- Collaborate and consult with cross functional technical teams on space electronics design for manufacture and test (DFMAT) and process improvements. Promote use of common designs, processes, and equipment to minimize development costs. --- Assist with high visibility space manufacturing efforts with formal cost and schedule proposal review responsibilities and direct interface to business GM. --- Support the root cause and corrective action (RCCA) processes to improve quality and product reliability. Qualifications --- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience, or Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 16 years of prior related experience. --- Ability to obtain a Top-Secret security clearance --- Experience in Manufacturing/Operations leadership capacity (i.e. Group Lead, IPT Lead, PE, CAM) --- Minimum of 8 years' experience with Manufacturing/Operations tools and technologies - experience with Space Electronics preferred. Preferred Additional Skills --- Current TS/SCI security clearance is desired --- Background in the manufacturing of electronics for high reliability military and government systems in development / LRIP manufacturing environment. --- Strong knowledge of industry workmanship standards (J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, etc.) --- Good communication skills including the ability to deliver effective presentations to peers, management and customers are preferred --- Lean/Six Sigma knowledge - Green/Black Belt certification preferred --- Experience with production facilities layouts, capacity planning, and capital equipment selection and acquisition Please be aware this position requires a security clearance.--- Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.--- In addition, applicants who accept a conditional offer of employment may be---subject to government security investigation(s) and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.---
