Position Summary: A Paving Laborer position includes various manual tasks associated with paving operations. Responsibilities: Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures including reporting all accidents, incidents and near misses to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value – Safety, first in everything we do. Must be on site at scheduled start time for the Daily Huddle and Tool Box Talk Must be able to identify potential hazards and assist in maintaining a safe work environment for all Team Members Maintain a flexible work schedule to include day/night shift work with extended hours Able to climb ladders maintaining a 3-point contact Can perform strenuous work in varying weather conditions Able to effectively shovel and lute asphalt and push a wheelbarrow Assist with layout of project and marking of roadway structures Establish and maintain positive relationship with all Team Members and supervisors Able to operate a tack wagon Assist with MOT set up and flagging operations Assist in the loading and unloading of tools and equipment Assist in the backing of dump trucks in a safe manner Be sure assigned equipment is properly maintained and kept clean at all times Assist in daily project inspection prior to departing, to ensure work is complete with the highest quality and all cleanup is complete Qualifications: Safety and quality orientated Maintain good health status and flexibility to bend, push, pull, stoop and/or twist Ability to multi-task; detail-oriented Necessary Attributes: Must possess the ability to adapt to different personalities and management styles Team player and with strong interpersonal and verbal skills Reliance on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals Dedicated and hard working Strong commitment to success of all Possess a strong work ethic Demonstrate the upmost professionalism in how you represent yourself Show quality in everything you do Lead with integrity while producing high quality work We offer our full-time and eligible part time team members a comprehensive benefits package that’s among the best in our industry.
