Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems sector is looking for a Supportability Engineering Manager 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals on the E-2/C-2 team as part of the Logistics and Modernization organization. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL.

This Manager will lead a group of approximately 50 employees including 3 other managers. This position is a hybrid role, consisting of direct support to programs and people management.

Technical areas of responsibility include:

• Reliability, Maintainability and Testability
• Design for Supportability
• Logistics Support Analysis (LSA)
• Maintenance Planning
• Obsolescence Management
• Availability/Operations and Support (O&S) Modeling
• Technical Publications and Training for the E2/C-2 programs In this role, the selected candidate will be expected to:
  • Manage and integrate the Logistics Supportability Engineering and Analysis efforts listed above
  • Be the single point of accountability for accomplishing program objectives for the team
  • Identify and communicate design and issue impacts across the larger logistics community on the program to drive design changes and ensure all supportability, program and customer requirements are addressed.
  • Develop initiatives to support the continuation of NGC's transformation into an agile company.
  • Coordinate staffing requirements across 6 technical disciplines.
  • Support functional homeroom initiatives to improve people, processes, and tools.
  • Prepare and manage project schedule and budgets to include EVMS and prepare status reports on the health of the projects.
  • Develop strategies to continually improve team efficiency.
  • Assess issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Prepare briefings for management and develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and tools for intervention and problem solving with project managers, suppliers and clients.

    Qualifications:
    
    Basic Qualifications:
    • Must have a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field AND 10 years of related professional and/or military experience to include a background in Supportability experience across the following disciplines: Reliability, Maintainability & Testability, Availability/O&S Modeling, Design for Supportability/LSA/Maintenance Planning, or Obsolescence Management, OR a Master's degree in a STEM field AND 8 years of related professional and/or military experience to include a background in Supportability experience across the following disciplines: Reliability, Maintainability & Testability, Availability/O&S Modeling, Design for Supportability/LSA/Maintenance Planning, or Obsolescence Management.
    • Must have an active DoD Secret clearance (or higher). Preferred Qualifications:
      • Experience leading a team and developing talent
      • Experience working on Military programs
      • Experience developing and coaching for leadership and performance
      • Experience integrating Logistics Supportability Engineering efforts across the disciplines described above
      • Experience leading a large department in a matrix environment
