Description:Job Description?To be fully engaged in providing?Quality / No Harm, Customer Experience, and Stewardship by maintaining the Cape Canaveral Hospital campus grounds, parking garages, and all irrigation/sprinkler equipment in showcase condition thus establishing outstanding customer first impression.?Primary Accountabilities??Mow and trim lawns; prune trees and shrubs; water lawns, flower beds, shrubs and trees; spray trees, shrubs, plants and apply nutrients for lawn and plant growth; cultivate, plant, and weed flower beds. Install, maintain and repair campus irrigation/sprinkler equipment. Maintain drainage run-offs.? Clean entrances, loading dock, waste collection areas on a daily basis.? Police and remove all discarded debris from campus grounds. Empty outside waste/smoking receptacles on a regular basis. Provide prompt and accurate service for assigned moves and function set-ups. Aware of the hazards in the use of mechanical equipment to the operator and any personnel or structures in the vicinity. Must be able to interact with Patients, Visitors, Doctors, and Health First Associates in a professional and respectful manner.? Must be able to direct individuals to various locations throughout the facilities and able to convey work that will need to be completed or has been completed. Inspect and perform preventative maintenance and repairs to equipment such as tractors, lawn mowers, edgers, and other power equipment.? Verified by spot checks conducted by Building Services managementQualification:Qualifications?High School or vocational school graduate preferred.2 years experience of commercial grounds keeping / irrigation maintenance. Mechanical skills to maintain and repair equipment.Familiar with basic computer skills.
