Come and be part of our wonderful Solaris family here in sunny Vero Beach! Our beautiful Assisted Living Facility (ALF) is located less than 4 miles from the beach. We are looking for upbeat, dedicated and resident-focused partners interested in "Doing What's Right!"


Position Summary:


The responsibility of the Dishwasher/Bus person is to provide assistance with established policies and procedures, applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulation; and as may be directed by the Food Service Director and/or other designated supervisor (i.e., cook) to ensure quality food service is provided at all times.


Qualifications/Experience/Requirements:


* Keep work area clean and uncluttered.


* Maintain cleanliness of dishwasher area, including dishwashing machine.


* Operates dishwasher after receiving on-the-job training of equipment.

. Performs assigned cleaning assignments according to established policies and utilizing the proper cleaning chemicals.


* Ensures that the department is maintained in a clean manner according to established policies.


* Bus tableware from Dining Room area during meal times.


* Scrapes and stacks dishes.


* Cleans employee locker room and restroom.


* Assists Cooks with pots and pans as appropriate.


* Washes dishes, etc. according to established procedures for manual and/or automatic dishwashing. Report any problems with proper water temperature or sanitizer to the supervisor in a timely manner.


* Ensures that dishes, etc. are readily available for the next meal. Store dishes, etc. in the proper location in a way to prevent contamination.


* Ensure that food storage areas are kept clean and properly arranged at all times.


* Ensure that all garbage/trash cans are covered when not in use.


* Properly dispose of trash and garbage.


* Cleanliness of garbage/trash containers.


* Ensure that the department is maintained in a safe manner according to established policies.


* Report all hazardous conditions/equipment to the supervisor and/or maintenance as directed.


* Report all malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor and/or maintenance as directed.


* Completes all work assignments within the scheduled time frames.


* Adheres to departmental dress code; Black or Tan Khaki/Slacks, Solid Black Shirt, Black Kitchen Shoe (Slip abd Oil

Resistant)


* Develops and maintains a good working relationship and cooperative attitude with co-workers within the facility.


* Creates and maintains an atmosphere of warm, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as, a calm

environment throughout the department .


* Maintains CONFIDENTIALITY of all pertinent resident care information to ensure resident rights are protected.


* Perform other tasks as directed by the supervisor.


Minimum Qualifications:


* Must possess, as a minimum, a tenth (10th) grade education.
