This leadership position is located in Melbourne, Florida.This Systems Engineering Manager 2 will be responsible for leading efforts related to the software configuration management statement of work for an exciting on-going pursuit. This position reports to the Melbourne Systems Engineering Mission Requirements and Configuration Data Management Department Manager.The successful SE Manager candidate will: Possess a strong understanding of SE fundamentals and how these fundamentals are associated with aerospace acquisition. Be able to describe SE activities in all phases of the SE "Vee" Model Have a rich background in and experience working in SE disciplines in a defense role and have demonstrable experience working as a manager or lead in a technical role Be an excellent communicator Enjoy leading and mentoring technical professionals and helping them succeed in their careersJob Duties include: Leading the Software Configuration Management (SWCM) team performing configuration identification, change control, auditing and reporting, and the receiving and delivery (both internally and externally) of developed software products, including commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and government off-the-shelf (GOTS) software. Supporting and collaborating with the Software lead, Lab Operations, and QA teams by appropriately controlling (both internally and externally developed) software and associated documentation as products go through the software development cycle. Supporting IFC Test Readiness Reviews, IFC Certifications, and IFC CDRL releases and deliveries. Collecting and analyzing CM metrics to identify areas for process improvement and to measure throughput and team and individual performance. Establishing a culture of innovation and automation & propagating this visionto other teams via the Melbourne SCM Community of Practice (CoP). Contributing to the development of software configuration standards for company-wide use. Salary Range: $123,900 USD $185,900 USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
