L3Harris has an immediate opening for an Embedded Software Engineer. In this role you will design, develop, and integrate embedded software and Command & Control components for a large data processing system for our Strategic Missions Division. You and your team will support all phases of the software lifecycle, including refining requirements, software implementation, integration, debugging, and full documentation. This opportunity also includes development tasks within a Linux environment as part of a larger team dedicated to the customer mission. This position must work on-site 100%.
Essential Functions:

• Collaborative team member across multiple components developing software for Strategic Missions customers.
• Translate design requirements and workflows into working software.
• Participate in a development team that uses agile methodologies combined with mature software practices and a technology-supported development infrastructure.
• Develop new software, adapt old software implanting new capabilities.
• Perform unit, integration and system test activities. Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • Experience in C++ software development.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance. Preferred Additional Skills:
    • Active TS/SCI security clearance.
    • Experience with a variety of software languages such as C++, C, Ruby, Perl, Python, Ajax on a RTOS.
    • RTOS experience.
    • OOA/OOD/UML experience.
    • Linux kernel experience.
    • Experience with Zynq processors.
    • Experience with Agile methodology.
