Job Description Summary:

The Spa Supervisor oversees all functions of the Spa Area, Fitness and Pool Concierge Staff. The Spa Supervisor will assist the Director in running a smooth and efficient department.

Job Description:

BASIC FUNCTION: The Spa Supervisor will assist the Spa Director with placing retail and operational supply orders, inventory, meetings, marketing ideas, delegating tasks to staff, performing staff inspections, assists with increasing daily revenue, making decisions in a leadership position in the absence of the Spa Director to ensure successful operation, assists guests with booking spa reservations, spa orientation, processing payments and all other daily activities while the highest standards of personal luxury service and guest satisfaction are met in a professional and courteous manner following all property policies and procedures.


* High school diploma or equivalent. * Minimum two years related experience in the hospitality/spa industry preferred. * Proficient in Microsoft word, excel and outlook. Proficient in Spa Soft software preferred. Strong knowledge of spa services, credential requirements and best practices. * Previous experience in developing and leading a team. * Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment. * Ability to communicate effectively-written and verbally. * Strong attention to detail a must.


* Oversee daily operations of the entire department in the absence of Director. * Responsible for communicating information to Director for disciplinary actions for employees. * Assists in performance, attendance, attitudes, appearance, conduct of the staff and providing training for staff. * Maintain consistent and efficient systems of communication outside of Spa department when in the absence of Director. * Participates in spa department monthly meetings, daily stand up or any other communication meetings in the absence of Director. * Remain knowledgeable of current industry trends, assisting with developing new programs and making improvements. Recommendations are sent to Spa Director. * Establish and maintain resort and department service standards. * Consistently lead by example and is a role model each and every shift. Ability to work uninterrupted is required. Complete all daily procedures and additional tasks as outlined and given. * Maintain a clean, organized and replenished front desk and retail area. Maintain and replenish both locker rooms. * Completes all daily, opening, closing, weekly and end of month checklists. * Completes daily inspections of the team checklist for completion. * Maintain an accurate cash balance. * Attend all mandatory meetings. * Available to work flexible shifts including all weekends, AM and PM shifts and holidays for all leadership positions as business dictates. * Regular and on time attendance is in conformance with the standards which may be established by benchmark from time to time. This is essential to the successful performance of this position and expected. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. * Excellent manners and social skills. Well spoken, avoids slang, phrase fragments and uses appropriate verbiage.


In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position will require a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the Spa Director based on the particular requirements of the Spa.

* Maintaining consistent stock of supplies and communicate when items need restocking. Assists Spa Director with training of new team members. * Oversee daily operating procedures in the absence of the Spa Director. * Respond to any special projects and reasonable tasks as assigned by the Spa Director. * Assist Spa Director with suggestions and creative marketing ideas. * Assists Spa Director with completion of inventory and end of month procedures. All employees are required to fully comply with Benchmark Hospitality rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of the resort facilities.
