Job Description:

JLM is seeking a detail oriented DBE Coordinator to assist in implementing the disadvantaged business enterprise program and monitoring contractors for the utilization of minority and disadvantaged business enterprise participation by contractors. Responsibilities: To perform monthly audits in order to confirm the certification of each DBE and to confirm that each DBE is performing a Commercially Useful Function on every phase of its subcontract and report any issues of non-compliance to the UDCO and UDCM (as assigned) To ensure that the work performed by each DBE is relevant to what is listed on the DBEs current certification To update the projects DBE participation plan as necessary and submit the amended plan to the UDCO and Project Manager for approval To be aware of change order activity and modifications to DBE subcontracts and account for such changes on the applicable participation plans and progress reports To verify that each DBE uses its own equipment, and to verify that the appropriate use of equipment and/or operators is properly accounted for To verify that each DBEs workforce is employed by the DBE and properly accounted for on its payroll To prepare the required periodic progress reports for the approval of the UDCO and the Project Manager Requirements Construction industry experience is required Knowledge of statutes and laws related to equal opportunities and DBE programs Research skills Ability to work under pressure Must have intermediate Excel, Word, and Outlook skills JLM Strategic Talent Partners is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
