For more information, visit www.steward.org. Position Summary: Sterilizes, cleans, wraps, stores and distributes supplies, instruments, and equipment used in patient care. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 0-2 years of related experience. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Assembles and wraps surgical instruments and linens for surgical services. Picks supplies and instruments for all scheduled and emergency surgical cases. Operates decontamination equipment, sterilizers and participates in sterilization quality assurance. Rotates on weekend call and responds to beeper immediately, arriving at hospital in 30 minutes or less. Years of Related Experience:
