Other initiatives under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities. Additional vacancies may be filled from this announcement.ResponsibilitiesDUTIES:Supervises contract price/cost analyst responsibilities related to cost monitoring activities, forward pricing rates, final indirect cost rates, and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) evaluations.Reviews the cost monitoring activities and other complex contract price/cost analysis performed by the team.Coaches and mentors the team is areas such as utilizing Excel spreadsheets, formulas, or other analytical modeling.Manages and supervises priority workload consistent with Agency priorities.Manages supervisor actions such as assigning and monitoring workload, identifying developmental and training needs of employees, and taking disciplinary measures when necessary.Travel Required25% or less - You may be expected to travel for this position. Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet Basic educational Requirements and Specialized experience for the position.A. Basic Education Requirement: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees. NOTE: The education requirements listed above apply only to individuals entering DoD GS-1102 positions on or after October 1, 2000. Current civilian personnel in DoD who occupied GS-1102 positions or contracting positions with authority to award or administer contracts above the simplified acquisition threshold in an Executive Department on or before September 30, 2000 are exempt from meeting this requirement. Current military members who occupied a similar occupational specialty to the GS-11 (or equivalent) NH-1102-02, or before September 30, 2000 are also exempt from meeting this requirement. Additional Experience. In addition, you must meet the following Specialized Experience Requirement:B. Specialized Experience One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in, or related to, this position. To qualify for the NH-03 level, specialized experience must be at the NH-02 or GS-11 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Creditable specialized experience includes: -Leading, directing, or supervising a team of professional employees responsible for advanced cost, price or financial analysis within the defense industry or a mid/large sized company. -Business/technical report writing sufficient to independently develop professional level reports. -Briefing senior leaders and effectively communicating with peers or subordinates on complex topics.Waivers: With the exception of Specialized Experience, the component acquisition career management authority may waive any or all of the requirements listed in this qualifications standard with respect to any employee of the Department of Defense if the board certifies that the individual possesses significant potential for advancement to levels of greater responsibility and authority, based on demonstrated job performance and qualifying experience. EducationIf the position has a minimum education requirement and/or you are using education to qualify in lieu of specialized experience, you MUST provide transcripts (unofficial are acceptable at the time of application) to support your educational claims.GRADUATE EDUCATION: One academic year of graduate education is considered to be the number of credits hours that your graduate school has determined to represent one academic year of full-time study. Such study may have been performed on a full-time or part-time basis. If you cannot obtain your graduate school's definition of one year of graduate study, 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) should be considered as satisfying the requirement for one year of full-time graduate study.FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university. Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications. Therefore, provide only the attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
